The Materials

We primarily install Atlas roofing materials using the Atlas Complete Roof Installation System, which can include qualifying Atlas underlayments, starter shingles, field shingles, ventilation products, and hip-and-ridge components selected for your roof. As an Atlas PRO+ Diamond Level Contractor — the highest tier Atlas offers — 614 Exteriors is currently identified as the only Atlas PRO+ Diamond contractor in Greater Columbus and one of only a few in Ohio, which is what makes qualifying Atlas Signature Select warranty coverage available on our installations.

Pinnacle Pristine

Architectural asphalt shingle with a Class 3 impact rating, 3M Scotchgard algae protection, and a limited wind warranty up to 130 mph when properly installed.

StormMaster Shake

Premium polymer-modified shingle with a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating, Scotchgard algae protection, and a limited wind warranty up to 150 mph when properly installed.

Briarwood Pro

Architectural asphalt shingle with algae resistance and a dimensional appearance at a more value-oriented price point.

Castlebrook

Architectural asphalt shingle with a dimensional profile and a lifetime limited warranty under qualifying residential applications.

For siding, we work primarily with ProVia and James Hardie. ProVia offers a full range of vinyl, insulated, polypropylene, and board-and-batten products — each with different appearance, maintenance, and performance characteristics.

CedarMAX

Insulated vinyl siding pairing a Super Polymer vinyl exterior with contoured rigid foam to improve impact resistance, reduce thermal bridging, and add insulating value. Lifetime limited warranty.

HeartTech

Premium traditional vinyl siding engineered for weatherability, impact performance, and color retention. HeartTech is not insulated siding. Lifetime limited warranty.

Cedar Peaks

A heavier premium vinyl line with cedar-inspired texture, deeper shadow lines, reinforced fastening, and horizontal and board-and-batten profiles. Lifetime limited warranty.

ProVia also offers vertical board-and-batten in both Cedar Peaks and insulated CedarMAX configurations, plus Harbor Mill shake and shingle siding. Harbor Mill is polypropylene — not vinyl — modeled from real cedar to resist moisture and rot while eliminating routine painting or staining. It works well as an accent alongside horizontal siding, board-and-batten, stone, and gables.

For homeowners who want the authentic look and texture of real wood, we offer natural cedar siding for horizontal siding, board-and-batten, shakes, shingles, trim, and architectural accents. Cedar offers natural beauty, dimensional stability, and a warmth that manufactured products aim to imitate.

Unlike vinyl, polypropylene, and factory-finished fiber cement, natural cedar requires periodic maintenance. Proper staining, sealing, flashing, ventilation, and corrosion-resistant fasteners all matter for long-term performance — so cedar should be considered a low-maintenance choice with upkeep, not a maintenance-free one.

High-quality siding cannot perform properly if the materials behind it are ignored. A complete siding project relies on a full wall assembly, which is why we pay close attention to what goes on underneath the panels:

• Inspection and replacement of deteriorated sheathing
• Quarter-inch XPS fanfold rigid foam for a flatter siding plane
• A water-resistive or moisture-management barrier
• Inside and outside corner channels and window and door trim
• Purpose-made accessory blocks for lights, outlets, faucets, and vents
• Starter strips, compatible fasteners, and exterior sealant at necessary transitions

Together, these materials help create a flatter surface, manage water, reduce air movement, and produce cleaner penetrations — the details that determine how a wall actually performs over time.
